Ratnasty - try getting a hold of DesertratRodder here on the HAMB. He has several '57-58s he's parting out, and would probably have what you need.

Sorry, no pics but I had a 57 Custom 300 white over blue in 64 with a new 406/405 tripower FE in it, 3 speed OD on the column, 456 gears, no tach, no gauges, blackwalls & dog dish factory hub caps and factory hipo manifolds {yes they will fit, ask and Ill tell you }. It drove the 55-57 Chevy guys nuts. later when the news was out on it I changed it a 427/425 low riser with a 4 speed & Ballenger Bros nightmare to put on crossover headers

Oh man I love that look. Any idea what drivetrain was in it?

  6. No idea...just stumbled across the photo in Jim's album, so I thought I'd steal it and share it here. Hopefully someone will see this and contribute.

This car was a regular at Green Valley Texas back in the '60's. It was flat towed to the track by a GTX, any one remember it?

Not a gasser, but a real beauty. This was at CarD'Lane last summer.

My old gasser is finally coming along, getting ready for spring. Drag racing legend Lou Novotny finished the 10 point cage for me. I finished fabbing the front clip. Not far now....

Love that video! Brought back some good memories, especially all of those 4 speed cars. I liked that '57 Ford at 55 seconds, the High and Mighty, the '40 Ford pulling the wheels in third gear and Miss Linda Vaughn herself. Good stuff!

The chevy belongs to Oscar and the ford to Carmen. They are buddies of mine from the McAllen, Tx. area. Looks like this picture is from the Lonestar Roundup one or two years ago. Think they still own the cars. Don't rememeber, but Oscar may have had his chevy up for sale. Thanks, Joe.

Finally got a little more done on my 56 this weekend - radiused wheel wells and bolted up slicks on old chrome reverse wheels. Sorry for crappy cell phone pix - Speedy

Do any of you HAMBers in or from the Ocala Fl. area remember a 57 Ford ranch wagon that used to run around town around the early 70's it was jacked up had a straight axle, tunnel ram through the hood. It was white with custom painted panels . The guy was a friend of Tim and Max Brogdon.
