When Chick E'D Me My blood boiled upon hearing the news. One of the best guys out there, we need to find the prick that did this . I took this pic of the roadster on Saturday while it was on display at the drive-in.

Bummer man, this s happening way to much lately. The promotor wouldn't let you leave the car on the fairgrounds where there was security?

    That really makes me steam
I was in the parking lot around 11:45pm after leaving the bar.
The only thing I noticed was security driving around.
Wish I had caught them in the act
Why is it deemed acceptable by our society to do this sort of thing?

Sorry for you loss, hope you get the car back

    BTTT...

Why is this deemed acceptable by 'our' society? Because it's not really 'our' society that is doing this (hopefully, anyway)! Bastards! Vigilanty justice is coming...I REALLY hate to see this stuff happening. It's just not right! We have one of our 'major' swap meets coming soon up here, so we'll all keep our eyes open, too!

That's terrible, people do not respect other's property and hard work. it seem as though it is all about what you can get away with, not whether it is wrong or right. This thieving crap is so wrong.

Will keep my eyes peeled south of Houston, hoping your ride is found soon.

I don't know if Alabama's registration laws have changed in the past 15 years, but thiefs used to take stolen cars down there and re-register them, and then sell them to some unexpecting person. A friend bought one of these cars and was setting by it at the Nationals when some lady came up to it and startied walking around it says OMG, OMG. She asked my friend to not go any where until she brought her husband over to see the car. He was flattered, thinking his old green 48 Chevy 2-dr. sedan was much to look at, but was fun to drive. When the lady and her husband came back, they both walked around the car, then approached my buddy, and asked him where he got the car. He said he bought it from a guy in Alabama. the man said it was his and had been stolen a year ago. He called the police and had them come. They impounded the car and the case went to court. Long, story short, my buddy spent $3000.00 in legal fees, $15,000.00 for the car, and lost it in court; even though the man had been paid by his insurance company. Life sucks. I'll keep a look out here in Kentucky. Good luck, on getting it back.

Keeping an eye out in Mohave Co., Az. will put it on Flickr. That blown coupe was found in a body shop nearby under some blankets.

Somehow, enclosed trailers should be randomly stopped by law enforcement and inspected. Everywhere....

I know Larry H was down there with you and that he and i know exactly what you are going through. You know the story of our cars at 2001 LARS. You wont get over this very fast. Hope you were well insured.

  24. Guys, we are seeing a lot of car thefts here in the L.A. area. Cruise nights and shows are targets. They are scopin out our cars and then just waiting for the chance to grab them in trailers, locked garages and behind security gates. This sucks and I hope you get it back.

Time maybe for us to go a bit high tech and think about LOJACK systems. You can't stop someone from stealing it, but you can prevent them from keeping it.

There has to be some CCTV's at the Sheraton or businesses near by. It's a place to start looking.

    This Really Sucks Period....

Side Note and an Idea for everyone:

An inexpensive way to protect your vehicle without having to install a system to your ride would be to add a cell phone to your cell fone account and keep Cell fone # 2 hidden in the car somewhere, that way it can be tracked immediately....

Chick, Paul called me yesterday to tell me the news, I thought I was going to be sick. I can't begin to tell you how badly I feel for you. Chances of getting the roaster back are not good, but let's hope. At least no one can steal all the miles and all the memories that the car gave you. I'm not sure how, but the next one will be even better. Zobra
