    Dude!
You are really talented. Looking through your thread has actually made me decide that I am going downstairs today and pulling all teh junk I have stacked on my car and working on my cab. Awesome Build thread. Quick question: are you torching all that metal/sawszallling? I ask because the work is spotless.

  21. wow! so many questions! i'm amazed at how positive the response has been to this thread, i was expecting a couple of 'oh that looks alright' comments and for it to disappear to the 400th page :) so thanks very much to everyone that has said something nice, it's much appreciated :)

we have an annual classic car show here with a small rod/kustom/muscle car section. as soon as my coupe is finished i plan to ferry it over to the UK once or twice a year to attend a few shows although i'm building it more for personal gratification rather than as a show car :)

i'm not bad with sheet metal, i have a fair bit of experience with rust repair and panel replacement/modification (a few years of playing with old VW's is the reason for that) but i've never chopped a roof or done any major sheet metal fab although i'm sure i will sooner or later.

thanks bob, you're roadster is too awesome for words and you're gold coupe is a pretty inspirational car to me, when i saw it at the super nats a couple of years ago for sale i was thinking of all kinds of ways to raise the funds to buy it! i hope it went to a good home.

cheers steve! yeah i do if thats ok, sorry i haven't got back to you yet, things have been a bit hectic here lately, i'll get that speedway spring back to you as soon as possible, just trying to find the cheapest way to get it there. :)

thanks! i'm really glad i've inspired you to work on your car, thats awesome!
all the stuff i cut is done with a thin (1mm) cutting disc in a 4'' grinder then cleaned up with a flap wheel also in a 4'' grinder. i can't afford a torch or a sawzall! :D

  22. wow. this is one of those motivating threads ive been missing lately. keep up the good work!
