Who here can do some measurements on AutoCad ??

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by xxwelderxx, Feb 2, 2011.

  1. I was wondering if anyone could plot out measurements for this car I am cloning. The hubcap is 15". So Im guessing you can use that as a basis for the other measurements. Not looking for anything crazy.

Anyone who helps will have their name credited as helping with the build.

    here is the car......

Picture with Dims attached. Let me know if you want to see anymore dimensions. Keep in mind these will not be exact considering picture size in relation to height vs. width and also the projection of the picture taken.

  4. Man that is great. Could you see what the distance from A-Pillar(where the vent window & A-Pillar meet at the belt line) to the Rear Pillar where it meets the belt line?

Also the length and height of vent window.

Man that is so cool. I need a program like that. Thanks for your help

  7. Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946 to 1975 claims wheelbase all models 114", overall length 189 1/8" all models.

If this is the case then the picture angle gives a distorted image. (Thats the bad thing when dimensioning a scale image.) I can stretch it.

Updated per wheelbase standard. Note: Like what we are running into here, this will not be exact dims. The picture orientation will not allow that. I think we are pretty close now although.

  10. Geiser,

I have to say you out did yourself. These measurements give me something to work with when measuring out the chop and body mods.

Paul thank you for your help as well.

I have to say this is why I come to the HAMB. Someone is always willing to help out!

Geiser, I know that whatever the software, you spent some time on this. Good job.
    Plymouth can be cool, too!
