I thought I had talked myself out of chopping the top on my model A, but I still have the idea bouncing around in my head. Unchopped is sort of the rare these days, but a nice chop looks mean. Messing around with pictures this is what keeps flashing in my head. Sorry to have a thread on this cause I know it has been done a million times, but just rambling I guess.
Uncut man! looks killer either way, But i myslef dig a good uncut car so much more. better balance IMO. looks sweet!
I like it uncut. Like you said it's kind of rare, and 90% of the people you run into won't notice the difference anyways. Don't ruin the original metal!
If it had fenders, I would say leave it, but since you don't I guess I'll be the first to say, cut it.
it looks damn good either way but lets face it, you're screwed if you dont chop it, this question will play in your head over and over and over and...........
How about building a matching one with a chop then pick which one the voices in your head tell you to drive that day.
I'm not the type for many chopped and lowered cars, etc. But I think the only 2 cars that SHOULD be chopped mildly is the Shoebox Merc/Ford and a Model A/Deuce Hot Rod. I just think the photo that you put of it chopped, looks great. Mean and looks like Henry would've done it himself. -Cody
both pics look good i like the uncut version for some reason maybe its because most of them have been chopped
hmm click on each pic to enlarge then next then next then next then next then next.. repeat it will be like slo motion you decide oh # 1.... if that thing in yer head swells way out of proportion
if you chop it your steering wheel would be up near the roof. also the bricks in the background and door look funny when its chopped. leave it un chopped. the first thing anyone ever says is "are you going to chop it" like you have too. i say dissapoint them leave it un chopped much cooler
Its already hot rodded and you know you want to! If it were a stocker that you could bolt everything back to original I would have reservations but it's not. Go for it!
chop edit: If I ever get to chop an A coupe, I am going to turn the rear quarter windows upside down by switching them from left side to right side. The only one thing I hate about chopped A coupes is the rear quarter windows look like sh**. They just look upside down to me.
Well its kinda like this....Once you say you might sell a car , you usually do.....Once you start contemplating chopping a top , you probably will....Just my two cents worth!
