Don't chop it . You can always chop it later in life .If you do please less than 3 1/2 -4" People go overboard way too often around here. Just my 2¢
What would you have ordered in "the day" at the dealership if you had the choice? Chopped or unchopped? I know me and it would be chopped........................
Chopped or not chopped either way is good........but why not chop the grille shell and radiator so it is not higher than the cowl that is the most noticable thing to me.
I like em uncut and channeled but I am also 6'2" tall with out the knots from riding in my cousins chopped model a
Wow, a lot of opinions. Well I'll try and decide before summer cause I think I am finally going to paint it. Probably keep it black just a little shinier. Thanks!
YOU have to decide...don't ask too many out there. Look at pics and then decide. I would not chop it, perhaps the grill shell...
You know fonti you bring up a good point. I know it doesn't look like it, but the grill is slightly below the cowl. If you put a level on it, it is in a perfect slope with the cowl. I think it's the radiator support rods that angle up that make it look like it is taller. I have them mounted in the stock firewall brackets and in the brackets on the 3" shorter Walker radiator. The grill shell has been shortened and is right on top of the radiator. Maybe I should make some brackets to lower the rods down in the front.
wow...it really does look different then on this picture! But even better for you, so you don't have to chop anything...I'm sure you let us know your final decision. I did not have this problem, my A coupe was already chopped when I bought it, not much - and I leave the fenders 'cause the A frame is not so nice like a 32...
As a couple of other have already suggested, build another one! This one chopped, sitting on Deuce rails, SBC, 4 speed, 9" rear, and still traditional styling. See which one gets ignored. The father-in-law.
