The "proper" way to figure how much to chop is to sit in it and measure from top of head to roof. Then cut an additional inch....choice of head apparrel not withstanding......haha....

    Looks good so far....

The floor structure is looking great. I think 3 inches would be best. 4 would look good but I think it would be tough to see around the carbs.

I told him it would look cool unchopped too right when we got it onto the frame. I think it would really be cool either way.

The floor structure is looking good! I'm interested in seeing what you plan on doing to connect the structure to the frame and to the body.

I'll be making new subrails for my 'A' Roadster on '32 rails soon, and I'm looking for some ideas / how-to...

No problem. That's what hot rodding is all about: trading parts, helping each other out, building kick-ass cars and having fun.

The moment we've all been waiting for. CHOP TOP TIME!

Door aligned and marked with pen not a marker. Lets start cutting!

so after lunch I had my buddy check out the layout for the chop. he noticed that i was really close to the bottom radius of the window. hard to weld and grind in that area. i wanted to go that close for a staggered cut by the rear window opening. what to do???

so we decided to cut the three inches out of this bad spot on the rear passenger window. so no more staggered cut, lets just get to cutting it up!
