  1. No comments on this? I thought someone would like it. Isn't this the style that we all love?

I have a pretty big collection of little books of all kinds and am always interested in the ones I don't have. I wish there was more of this available online to look at. I like that chopped 39 Chevy coupe on the best of the west section. I for one thank you for posting these up.

    Awesome!

If I ever decide to part with my Motot manuals, that pic might go in the ad!

The Potpourri 1920 T-Bucket is a nicely proportioned hot rod. Had never seen that one before.

  9. Thanks guys, it takes some work to scan all this. I'd like to do more.

Great Job! 1962 the year I got out of high school. A couple cars I seem to remember seeing in other magazines back then. Thanks.

I bought that issue NEW on the newstand.I was 9 years old.Haven't looked at it in years, but I remember it very well.Probably read it a hundred times. And that 40 coupe is one of the main reasons I'm so queer for them now,49 years later. Thanks for posting

That Letendre T is still up in M***. and unrestored, it won a car show The Modifiers put on in Danbury Ct. to fund the Lyndwood rail they raced, and I'm restoring now.

  14. the37kid, are you serious? That is one beautiful T! Can you post current pics?

  15. That drag coupe at the Autorama makes me think of Littlman's "Death's Doorstep."
    Thanks for sharing.

The editor for that was in the delivery room when I was born March of 62. After the doc slapped my *** I turned to him and said I'm going to be a Hot Rodder and I need some info for horse power. The rest is history :D. Really though those where great magazines back then.

There is info here on the HAMB, I asked about the car and got a reply and current photos within a few hours. Charging up the batterie for the camera will have two photos to link to your original post, love these history posts! Bob:)

That's cool. I love the "Barris" style customs of the '60s.

I was 11 years old when I bought this issue of Rodding and Re-styling with the Bruce Hartel '32 on the cover. Don't know if it ever ran side by side with the Lyndwood I'm caretaker for, but it was at Dover with it many times. I think Bruce is a HAMB member, I'll email him this thread.:D
