Just got in my front smoothies but waiting on the rears. Still waiting on the the spider caps and trim rings. I am torn as to what color to paint them. My interior is red, but I kinda feel like the red wheels have been over done.

Could one of you try to fit smoothies with spider caps and trim rings to this pic. Would like to see red, or any other color that looks good with the gray paint. Red, black, silver, ect..

Thanks! It belonged to one of my best friends. It is a monster. Had to go with bigger brakes after I broke a caliper bracket on it, then my original wheels wouldn't clear the brakes.

No white bands. I need to run performance tires. Right at 600hp on tap so I need to run a little bit more tire than usual. Running a BB Mopar stroker with tunnel ram. Lots of smiles to the gallon hehehehehe.

We made a deal a while back when he got board with it and put it up for sale. He is rubbin and lovin on Tugly now. That is going to be another fine ride.

I have made a few changes to the 51, but not many. Loved this car since the first time I set eyes on it. I am just glad I was able to scrape enough up to get it. This is the first one my wife has ever said is not for sale. We have put a couple of thousand miles on it since we got it.

I am diggin the ruby slippers! I think the red may work just fine. Almost looks like a heavy flake job may be the ticket.

That's wild, I tried to get Damon to go cruising with that car a dozen times, he always said it wasn't very street-able. Guess when I get the 500 in the 55, I am going to have to challenge you to the race instead of Damon....

 

It will make jerky out of you in the summer time. But it is so worth it. No heater needed in winter time. The fenderwells heat up the inside nicely LOL.

I'm trying to decide between 2 colours right now. The first option is a burgundy body with a silver frame. The second option is an all silver frame and body.
Would someone be able to help me out?

Did this one as a concept based on a '50 Pontiac being worked on by a fellow HAMBer Marty (50merc808) at Titan Motorsports here in Hawaii. (808speedshop.com) The first is the original pic of a '49 that I found on the Internet,


And this one has '55 Chevy tail lights installed in reshaped rear fenders. Marty said they are going to use Buick lenses for this one. The real deal oughta look pretty cool.

I have 49 Fleetline, and the idea of the 55 fender tips and lights is intriguing, and I have all the parts to do it too!

I'd love to learn how you add the reflections when you PS these.

 

Paint them on. Find a photo of a shiney car and copy what you see.

Some of you are pure artist! I have no talent when it comes to this kind of stuff. I draw electrical and controls system schematics to earn the groceries. Pretty boring LOL. I would love to try my hand at some of this.

So now I gotta ask, what software specifically are you using? Is it expensive, and where do we get started? Is there entry level that would get me into it on the cheap, or do you have to spend the big bucks.

Maybe start a new thread to discuss?

I work with GIMP, free an for starters. Realy intuitive.

I also use Gimp, it's simple and straight forward, great to learn on IMHO!

That is freakin insane! Someone ought to build a real one like that!

 

I started out with GIMP but switched to Photoshop Elements 8 when I found out about the 30 day free trial. Photoshop seems more versatile. The program only costs 99 bucks and if you're still at it three weeks into the free trial you'll be forking over the cash. Well worth it IMHO.
