60'-70's Vintage Oval Track Modifieds

  1. Modifieds without wheels lol
    okay did some research and found this photo of Danbury Speedboat racing. Did the water surround the track? They flood out the track? How long did they do this? Info guys!

    The image in post 3800, page 190, says it all: great driver in a great looking modified. Those injector stacks popping out of the hood look sinister!

    They flooded the track. The tall inside wall was later removed as it reeked havoc on cars as they were like pinballs between the walls!

    That inner wall remained in part, at least during when I was there. Pinballs are a good description of what it was like.

    Hey guys..If anyone wants to watch the 1979 Schaefer 200 in its entirety go to Facebook & go to 12A Jumpin Jack Johnson.On that page,there are 3 segments...I believe the Horton crash & roll is in the first segment.There are also tons of Jack Johnson photos to view.
