Anyone running Cam Driven Mechanical Fuel Injection on an External Balanced SBC like a Stroker 383 or 400? If so, what are you running for a balancer? Got any pics?

The pump has no affect on engine balance. You can internally balance 383/400 and run any dampner and flywheel.

I agree BUT I have to run a 6-3/4" balancer to clear the Hilborn pump mounting flange and then grind a bit off of the pump so I can take the pump on and off without removing the balancer every time. I have a internal balance 350 in my car.

Exactly .................... Smallest External Balanced Balancer I found in my first sesrch was 6.75". I just found a Company making 6.2" Diameter External Balancer for SBC and it's own the way.

I was wondering if any one ran a Blower Crank Hub for an External Balanced motor without the blower?

My blower hub just misses my pump drive. I would look into a extension or a belt drive to see if that would work for you.
If this is a drag race only, you could have your engine shop get creative on the crank.

Got a qoute for internal balancing the crank ................ $400 plus! The 6.2" Balancer is $250.00 and I don't need to take the motor apart plus I can keep the balanced flex plate, all adds up.

I know ................... I am cheap and lazy!

From what I understand, just running the pulley without the blower won't help, as it's the belt that soaks up the vibrations. There was a thread about running a blower without the balancer a short while back but I can't recall what the ***le was.

Okay. My blower hub is 4 1/4 inches. The pulley almost 6 inches and that is close. The hub will clear.

To FilthyFrank...... The cover worked out *****en and was exactly what I needed.
