Front hood lip was really rotted out after grinding all the paint and bondo off of it so we got a replacment panel from LMC. Fit alot better than I though it would.

First up, take the old one out. Must have been a union worker getting paid per spot weld when they put the thing together  Took awhile to get them all drilled out.

Had to remove the innder hood panel as well so the replacment front piece coulb be spot welded back in. Had to fix a few holes in it as well.

    New piece going back in...

    All said and done...

Rear fender is all thats left. Here's what I've got done on it so far...

Clamped the two fenders to together to get the radiuses and what not the same. Put the bottom piece in first so I had something to work to...

Then started shaping a piece to fill in...

After some more shaping and tacked in place...

Now all I gotta do is the rest of it...

Thanks Dave. Just takes patience and a little time is all.

I've been thinking about going "for profit" for awhile now. Done a few small jobs here and there. I've got some parts collected for a '34 Ford PU that I'm going to build as a spec vehicle. Try to sell it at various stages of construction. Worst case scenario, I've got another hot rod to ride around in :)

Bottom line, if somebody wants to pay me to do what I already am...bring it on.

Forgive my lack of updates, this thing took a hard turn away from what I had intended for final outcome...it's way to street rod :eek:

It's about done though! Click the pic for the video. I'm still working on getting him to take those damn wheels off! :D

From whom did you purchase your power brake setup?

Dan the truck looks great. I was wondering if you have anymore pictures of your fuel tank installed? Curious what it looks like from the back? I'm working on a 61 GMC and think I may end up going the same way on the tank.

Power brake stuff came from CPP.

If you look for it when standing behind the truck you can see the fuel tank between the bumper and tailgate. It doesn't bother me enough to make a filler panel for it. :D
