  11. That's just about the way the roof looked on my '39 coupe when we found it years ago...even had a little puddle of water in the dent!

Wow! I think that's the coolest 37-38 I've ever seen. The stance on this car is perfect.

Heres a few more for everyones enjoyment. I have had Willys since I was 21 years old starting with a 1940 coupe for $100.00, traded for a 1933 Deluxe Coupe with rumble seat and roll down rear window, Traded that for a 1936 Sedan Delivery, sold that to Canada, Got a 1940 Sedan for $150.00, Drove it for a few years and then Sold it and was very upset. My brother showed up and said a Willys coupe I had been following for years was still for sale. Went and bought it for $500.00 and was driving it the next day. Turns out it had been in the paper but the man's grandson was trying to sell it from under his grandpa for drugs. I put a later cj 4 cylinder in it that was rebuilt and added a Hickey head. 1939 was first year for hydraulic brakes and last year for stick shift on floor. Sold that car and went for years without and about 22 years ago at Portland swap meet a friend approached me and asked if I was still into Willys, I said yes, he showed me and ad in the Nickle ads under pickup parts and repairs. I called the guy and offered him $800.00 cash and bought it the next day! And have purchased another one which I used for the doors on the passenger side of my car. Hopefully driving to the Gasser nationals or the Gasser Reunion or God willing, both lol Hope this isn't too much but I thought my story might be interesting, Bill Darland Eugene, Oregon

Thanks for all the pictures, Some of you have spent a ton of time gathering, scanning, and posting these. I know its a labor of love. I sincerly appreciate your efforts, more than you'll ever know. You have no idea how much these old gassers mean to me. Thanks - Breeze
