Looking for some pictures of engines painted gold. My Ford 390 is getting back together and I need some ideas.

I did the search and didn't find as much as I was hoping...

    Thanx, Ramon

  9. Chief, is that guy bent over with the lite shirt on, Pontiac Charlie in Miami? Has or had a little shop over by the Opa-Laka airport. I used to do the 600 inch Blower engines for the guy in the bay next to him, if it's who I am thinking of.

This would look even better with gloss clear engine paint over the gold, it makes a big difference.

The engine in my Shoebox is gold but I don't have any good pics right now. I love engines painted gold, especially in customs.

At least a couple of manufacturers used it, usually to signify on their flagship motors, Ford used it on T-birds and on the valve covers on Hi-po motors, Caddy used it on the Eldorados, and several years Olds motors were gold.

Not all gold, what about the mid 60's Ford engine paint scheme. Black engine with gold valve covers and air cleaner? My last shop did a real nice 352 tri power engine that way. No pics, but it looked real nice.
