Im hunting for some kool aircleaners to go with my Thickstun I6 intake - what air cleaners do you guys use other than those cheap and nasty Chinese chrome/paper ones? Thanx...!! Rat
I got these from O'Brian's Truckers, he's a great guy to deal with and I couldnt be happier with them. Great quality. You cant really see it in this but they're Edmunds.
A chrome air cleaner was too tall for my hood to close.I took a stock base & a $5 swap meet chrome base & cut them so they would clear my valve cover & carb.I siliconed & riveted them together.I got the look I was after;I'm pretty happy with what I ended up with.
I bought some frog mouths because I thought they were pretty rad, turns out the ID of the frog mouth was a little larger than the OD of the carter. my bro jeroma spun me up a spacer and although I don't have a pic of it, he made a sweet domed screen for it too. I'll try to get a pic of the screen today.
Nice engines guys !! Yeah Ive seen Edmunds, the truck cleaners (super kool) and the adapted frog mouth scoops before. As far as I know nobody makes a scoop to fit the 1BBL carbs without adapters. Are there any other options for 1BBL carb air cleaners out there? Rat
im pretty sure that jim carter truck parts is re popping them ,other than that swapmeets, ebay junkyards ,
i was thinkin' about a couple of these on top of my glass bowl holley's... with carter sediment bowl fuel filters... I think they'd be kind of cool....
I like this.. less of the chromie, aluminum look and more paint. Refreshing seeing guys getting back to painted valve covers and such other than the chrome this and chrome that. This has a nice balance! Fine job.
