Seen a few examples on the net, has anybody here taken a 4 door model A and cut off the front doors, making a suicide door, 5 window sedan ? call me crazy but I'm starting to get the bug to do this and was wondering how difficult it is ? Any pics would be a great help.
Welcome to the HAMB, do a search for "Modified Murray" and Scooters project will pop up, one of the best HAMB builds going IMO.
Only scooter's isn't a "Front Door Removal" like your talking about, but it is the best example of a 4 door to 2 door conversion!!
just a little bit of info i found out when doing a project like this with a friend of mine the front is 1.5 inches narrower than the back. we piecut the back to meet the front. just a little bit of 411 tk

Well, I learned that someone makes a Webber carb intake for Chrysler 354-393 HEMI's, both cars leave me cold.

well yeah duh. Its the hamb not the rat rod universe. I like some rats but I wouldn't post anything rat on here knowing the rules about them. Its kind of like walking out into traffic and expecting not to get hit.

That car on rru looks good to me. Definitely loose all the webs, but the rest is cool. Neat idea. Have fun with the build!

Oh I'm all for him liking what he likes. He can just go like it someplace else. No need to conform when there are so many other sites out there. To each his own, but if you want to post rat rod crap, do it on a rat rod site. There a problem with that?
what you want to do is like what munster did with his pontiac. In my opinion it would work better with some thing biger like that than an A I think it's is a stude
Well, that A coupe with all the crap hanging off it isn't anywhere in the same league as that shortened Pontiac that looks like a lot of altered you might see in the late 50's early 60's outside of a lack of carbs. A guy couldn't get from my house to the 7-11 in that A sedan in the video without getting pulled over and probably having the car impounded. Impaired vision might be cool to mouthbreathers standing around it but the local State Patrol takes a dim view of it and that is probably the reason you see so many trailers at rr shows. Robby why don't you take your junk back where someone would actually appreciate it as it doesn't fit in here. Or clean the thing up and make a real hot rod out of it if that is still possible with all those scabs hanging off it.
