Did he try acting at some stage?????? :D

As a matter of fact, he WAS trained, at the Kaplan
School of Drama. Unfortunately, he never made it
past the Barbarino technique. LOL :D <!-- / message -->

Future motorists... check the wood blocks under the kickstands (maybe the photographer was an engineer?).

This is exactly how most of them looked.

This was a big thing into the '50's and early '60's in working man neighborhoods.

Can't tell if that's striped tape on his shoes to imitate the big leaguers or just made that way.
    Thinking tape.

OK, this is for the youngsters on here.
This is what the old photos of the hot babes from long ago look like today.
A little more respect would be nice.

That is an awesome car, it's the 1938 Phantom Corsair!

I stole this info from Wikipedia.

I hope to see this car in person some day!

Good post, Paul. Most places now, they won't even let you walk
into the work area -- and probably wouldn't even if you signed
a liability release. In the early- and mid-'70s when I bought my
gas at the Union 76 station, the owner repaid the business by
letting me put my '55 DeSoto up in the air any time the lift was
open. It surely made life more pleasant, as I was always doctor-
ing the exhaust system (we've all been there!). I was finally
able to collect and buy all-new in '75 and put them on for their
cost plus my elbow grease. But you don't ever forget favors
like my friend did for me. He made life a wee bit easier by let-
    ting me use that lift!

Very early starring role for future "Rifleman" Chuck Connors.
Starlet Lori Nelson drives a killer '55 T-bird, too. HOTROD
magazine called this "a dopey diatribe against street racing"
but praised the early 'rod-racing footage. Inexpensive repros
of this 1956 poster available on eBay!

One you almost never hear of. Released in 1950, well before
    the "Teensploitation" trend in Hollywood.
