Not sure if Frank Bash's car is a Stocker or not but there's the T & M wagon in the background which is. Pete

Re post #9014 thats Bill Stiles SS/BA 68 Hemi Cuda out of Stiles Performance in York, Pa. partially sponsored by the York Area Plymouth Dealers. Can you believe ther were 5 or 6 area Plymouth dealers? None now.
Pete: Thanks for posting the Norris "Redskin" 50 Olds. Did anyone here witness his accident and/or have photos? I remember phone conversation where Gene described how the fastback skidded sideways & rolled multiple times due to a broken spider causing the rear to lockup in the lights. Gene was fortunate to survive the car rolling over his legs as he was thrown out. Always a pleasure to speak with, I remember him being apologetic for lowering the U/S record (to 15.45 I think) and said that NHRA actually forced him to back it up or be banned......how common was that? Well, back to getting Wiltons '52 running before we're too old to!
I've sold 57 Sedan Delivery to fellow HAMBER "Junior Stock", AKA Tim, and bought ANOTHER 56 Sedan Delivery. I made Tim a tremendous deal, and tossed in a lot of parts and pieces. He will be doing a restoration of sorts, to it's "Hustlin Hoosier" days. The new 56 Delivery "looks" like a Junior Stocker, but has a 327 and Muncie 4-speed in it. It's a high dollar car I got for a pretty good price. Drove it today for the first time, and it's fast for a street car; 7000 RPM powershifts and barking the tires on gear changes. I'm thinking about a disguised 327 I have already built, one of my built aluminum Powerglides, and two Positraction 3rd members, one with 4.56 gears, the other with 4.88's, to choose from. Plus I have another 4.88 Positraction currently installed in my nephews 51 Bus coupe. This has been a long standing dream of mine, and I'm just not quite able to rebuild my other 56 Delivery, like I had planned. Sorry, no pics, but I do have a new digital camera, so hopefully some will follow. Butch/56sedandelivery.
Now that you mention it , I thought and wondered the same thing when I saw it the other day and wondered who's 'right one' was massaging Rotunda's right taillight...
Hey what were those "new" M&H Racemaster slicks they came out with recently that look 60's correct for a stocker? I can't find them. Looking to fit a 15x7" wheel... -Dean
I Don't know who the female is but thats Wayne Jesel turning around next to her.......The car next to Rotunda's is Bill Stiles In an earlier photo......Laverne Benner drove the white '57 with the big Stahl decal on the door.....Total Tuned headers......I have no idea who won that race. Both cars/drivers were regular winners...
Guys, hello. Tried to post on the board about a G/S Cyclone from Dallas Texas a couple years ago and was told it was to new for the board. Will give it another try. I am restoring a 70 Cyclone Spoiler that was part of the Mercury Drag Race program that was campaigned in the Dallas Fort Worth area by Holiday Lincoln Mercury. The pics below are other cars identified in the program, would like to find a pic of the Dallas car as raced. Any folks from the Dallas Area Remember this car?? They were campigned in G stock. Thanks. Bill

The 2 door sedan was owned by Marcel. I purchased the car in 1971 from a guy in Denver. It had the California reg with Marcels name and the reg matches the plate # in the picture. I talked to Marcel at that time and he was working for Sanderson headers. I ran the car in upstate New York. It did have the supercharger on it. I removed the car from racing in 73, repainted it and drove on the street. The picture was in one of the hot rod magazines which I had copy of .
