    Hi guys,

Late last week I had an 8ba flathead stolen from the shop. It was a complete motor minus the generator and trans. I never tore it apart to see if it was a good block but id did turn over.

If anyone has any info on who took it let me know.

    Thanks,
    Chris

If it was sitting outside where someone could back in and load it, especially in off hours I'd be checking with the local s**** yards to see if it showed up there. The scavengers are getting more brazen every day looking for stuff to sell for s**** and an old unpainted engine sitting behind the shop may have looked like fair game to them.

You might ask around the local machine shops too to see if anyone just showed up asking about having work done on a flathead that they just got a great deal on.

It was chained outside of the shop in a corner that was even hard for me to get it in with my fork lift. But the crazy thing is that there are no marks at all on the ground of it being drug across. So they would have had to pick it up which they probably had a cherry picker or some sort of boom arm.

I'm not sure if it was for s**** cause that was the only thing they took. I also had a 33' motor that is complete junk as yard art and the left that alone. So i'm thinking it was for the intent to use not to s****. Im more upset that this was probably someone I know or someone that has been to my shop. Guess I need to install some security cameras.
