I tried sewing a patch on a pair of pants in high school.....the scissors ended up stuck in the wall through a Jimi Hendrix poster  I dont think I am safe with a needle and thread!

keep up the good work it is inspirational, make me less likely to worry about making a major rust repair and just say "why not try it".

Over the past two days I have read the whole of this thread and I can sum it up in one word .. AWESOME.

You are an inspiration to lots of people, those who have the expertise and the ones like me who have no bodywork experience at all, I have already told my wife that I was going to take a welding/fabrication evening class.

I can only wait with baited breath for the next enstalment.

Thanks guys !If you want something bad enough you will find a way to try and accomplish it if you are intimidated by bodywork a project like this is a great way to get over that! I wont be back at it till the weekend, I am about 1,500 miles from home on coarse this week, but I visited with an old friend last night and hes taking me on a garage crawl tonight ,nothing but kustoms...of coarse I forgot the camera !

I hope so ...depends on how the money holds out lol! If it ever warms up I will be able to get a little more time in. I would love to have it mobile for Moncton but Chads show is a more realistic goal!

  23. Has Chad set a date for his show yet for this year? I'd like to try and get out to it this year

Simply amazing. I got tired just blazing through the post. I'm in awe of your talent and perseverance. Seems like it would have been almost easier to start with new sheet steel and build it from scratch. At my age I would never attempt to start something like this. I'd be dead before it was done, but I am going to try doing some simple sheet metal work on some of my stuff. Once again just amazing. Good luck with the rest of your work, and if your not using at least a dust mask working with all those cutting and grinding abrasives, please do. Mike
