I just wanted to publicly say that I just received my new www cheater slicks from www.hurstracingtires.com and I am VERY impressed. I have few of the "other" brands in the past, but they are far from the quality product I received from them...

    Thanks guys!

    Two things:
    1. Glad to hear you like the tires. I'm searching for some slicks and apprecate the lead.
    2. Glad I'm not the only one who would put new tires on the white carpet.

Yeah.. I thought once she found out I paid more for the tires than I did the rug I wouldn't get my *** kicked.

    I was wrong.

The fronts were ordered from Coker. They are firestone 560 x 15 with a 2 3/4 white wall. If you go to their website and pull up the catalog it will be page 26 and the eighth one down (photo b).

I've got the same tires front and rear except blackwall. Nice stuff I'm still waiting for my wheels...Hopefully I'll have them next week.

I am still waiting on my wheels as well. I could be waiting a while though..

  13. I have the same set of Hurst whitewalls slicks and firestone fronts, Any idea what the best width rear rim would be for them?
Has anyone run these at the drags, would they hook up okay
    Thanks

I had a set on My old more door sedan Dodge that I turned into a pannel, ran the slicks on the street and at the drags, they hooked up pretty good, had more bite than the junk yard mill had oats, I have a set on My 60 Camino turned fenderless rod and I can't wait to hit the street. After receiving mine I would wait months for another set if I were asked to. They are a quality product...

They are nice looking tires for sure but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,are they recaps?
you might look into that, I bought the M/T's because they are not recaps.

Nothing wrong with recaps, if they are done properly.
