I was going to start on it over the weekend, but I got pulled into a few other directions. This upcoming weekend for sure. Need something off of it??
its sad news to hear of pee wee passing. i never met him but i did get to set up the injectors on the car for a previous owner some years back. after the car was set up it ran great. they say those cars could hook in a car wash. i drove that car and of all the awb cars i have driven that car pulled the wheels with the least effort. it was raining at atco and i was able to pull the wheels off the ground in the pits taking it on a test drive. that was a cool car
So, is ANYONE planning to diecast early Funnies? Flip top Comets/Cougars, Imperial Kustoms Charger, Snoopy XKE Jag, etc? 1320 did a great job on front engine dragsters, then did all those BORING 70's Funny Cars
Also, on the diecast....I vote a bit less detail and lower prices. After a few hundred pieces this shit gets expensive
I'D like to see them in 1/24 0r 1/25 scale like my R.S.C. pro-stocks! You can fit more in the same space.
Drivetrain-wise, its a gem. Body-wise, its a step from blowing apart in a five mile an hour breeze! It rolled over up in Oregon, with nine inside, all seatbelted, into a berry patch. But the upper body is so tweaked, it'll never ne able to be straightened. Its really caddy-wompussed bad.

Funny how some of these threads make it seem like such a small world. I go by your shop every day going to work and coming back home. I about ran my car into the ditch a couple of times trying to get a better look at that Comet you had up there! While it's true we've got a ton of old cars around this area, AWB cars aren't exactly common around these parts! From what I've seen from Lane Street as I'm going by, you really nailed "the look" on both the Comet and the Cuda. I thought a time or two about stopping by to take a closer look but I figured I would just be getting in the way while y'all were trying to work so I didn't. You sure do seem to have some neat stuff up there. I saw Stewart's Mobil 1 car up there this weekend and there was a white 61 Impala up there as I was going to work this morning. Anyway, good luck on the AWB cars. While I'm not brave enough to relocate the rear wheels on my 66 Mustang fastback, I love that era enough that I did get a Crites teardrop hood for it. The cammer is a bit out of my price range though..... Chris
Bill- Great to see a picture of your 'Cuda! Dave told me he stopped to talk with you! We'll start on ours in the next couple months or so, but from the side profile shot of yours, I'd say we're close to your dimensions, give or take. You are right though. We found another really good donor car for the build. I've worked on alot of rusty Mopars over the years, and to come across one thats in good shape is kinda like sinking your teeth into a fresh apple pie ! All smiles! Hope we can maintain contact on our builds, and see how we both come up with solutions to little hiccups along the way! Dale
