Here's another Holden bodied ute. It used to be owned by Rooman and was for sale by Dickster27 last summer right here on the HAMB....

This one is a TJR body - probably a '37 with a '40 nose added by someone as I do not believe TJR made Willys bodies after 1937 or maybe early 1938. Note the non split rear window and the five window cab. This was a hallmark of the TJR closed cab Willys of 1937....

This hot rodded Holden bodied 1939 ute used to be owned by my mate Andrew Hall - to spare him any embarrassment, I won't mention what engine was under the hood....

Holden bodied Overland sedan - note rear quarter windows not introduced into US until 1941, and split rear window a la coupe. The bubble trunk did not appear until 1940 in the U.S.....

1937 sedan - note early use of bubble trunk and rear quarter window. This is a TJR body - single rear window is the clue....

Here again is the 1940 Holden bodied sedan delivery conversion. It works well IMO because the Holden body has the quarter window and the recessed side window panel, which on the SD conversion goes all the way to the back of the quarter window. This gives it a nicer balance by being longer than you would get trying to do this on a U.S. sedan body....

    from tulsa, ok

Man, I love this thread!! Maybe you guys can help me out. I'm trying to track down the '41 steel coupe body I sold to a young guy from Iowa at the NSRA meet in Tulsa, OK around '75 or '76. It was primer gray and he flat towed it back to Iowa. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Anyone know the story on this one? [IMG]
I assumed it was creative body work with GM? quarter windows added but after seeing the different Aussie bodies in this amazing thread I'm starting to wonder.
