Put it on Ebay and you will know exactly how much it's worth ;-)

If you built the car then you know how much money you have tied up in it, if you bought the car then you know what you paid for it.
It's "street value" is likely somewhere around $20k-30k. As nice as it is, it ain't no '32 so it just does not bring the big bucks, maybe not even what you put in it if you built it.
    BTW, I love the car.

It has been pointed out that it's not a deuce. It is a '30 or '31 body, and will make a HUGE difference in price. I would look for a bit on e-bay and the classifieds here and Craigs list to get a feel for the market for this car. By the way, it's still a cool roadster.

  8. if it had nice paint and interior it would be in the upper 20's to lower 30's
but for someone to buy it and have to put $10,000 in it to finish it makes me think mid teens for a price

    beautiful hot rod

  11. x2 ...since I'm not hoping to buy this I'll go on the high side too. That rolling chassis on its own, complete with motor/trans and the quickchange has got to be worth near $15 G....that would be putting a value on there for the labor...assuming that it's fabricated to the utmost quality and detail.

I'd say the whole shot is worth $25,000....it's a nice car as is...but fully finished that'd be more in the 50 plus area I would think.

All depends on the buyer and if you strike a nerve with the right guy at the right time.

    Good luck

  12. 50 large for a 31 roadster
    thats pretty optimistic
if that were the case i know of a painted 30 that i can get for a fifth that price and now i just need a 32 chassis
shit i am going to make 30 grand
    nope

X2 but a nice car none the less .... Put it on Ebay with a high reserve or starting bid you will quickly find out the market for this. Just looking at Ebay or CList wont tell you much ... other than what people are asking ..not what they are selling for or if they even sold at all.

"this market"... hmph! 20k... Are you guys nuts? There's 20k in parts there, nevermind the time to find them all and then assemble them into a driving vehicle. I have a very similar car, granted mine's painted and upholstered, but I'd have to be in a REAL hard spot to let it go for anywhere near 20k.

Now, I understand that to guys that have the skills to put a car together and do that sort of thing for fun, it's only worth the sum of the parts, but to most folks labor is the most expensive part of a hot rod. I'd advertise it at 35k and if you can't get that, keep it. YOUR skill and VISION are worth something, nevermind the fact that Rudy Rodriguez, one of the most talented builders on the planet, had his hand in this one too.

    That's one Nasty AV8!

20k is what I'd interpret as a fair price.... At this very moment.

Nice car, I'm building one that will have that same stance. Asking and selling are different prices, you can ask $20,000, but I think it would sell at $15,000. The next guy is going to make it his and change, upgrade, and paint things.

If I was selling it, I would ask $25K. If I was buying it, I wouldnt pay more than $18K. :)

Could be worth alot more to a guy that wanted one, but had no idea how to build it. The fact that Rudy was involved would also drive the value up, but I didnt try to factor that in. Its a nicely done little roadster.

Buyer's market=willing buyer, (has the $ and the desire to own,)+willing seller, (agrees to the $ and wants to move the item.) In this scenario, the "value" of the item is determined by ONLY those two parties. GA

Mcfly tried 33 for a while and came down to 24 or 25...I'm not sure if he sold his. It was a great one as well. Yours has the quick change and the Rodriquez.
    Good Luck

Not a chance that you guys find a car like this for under 20k.
25k and up is my guess. The parts on the chassis, the engine and the whole build itself with the superb stance is not what everyone can come up with.

15k for a car exactly like this? All reg. and ready. I buy it today! Send me a PM. :D

  24. i agree 100% here. anywhere around 20-25 is giving this thing away. also thunderbirdesq ive seen your car in person at waterdown last year and man...perfect hot rod. i'll give you 20k tomorrow? you in? haha

Hope the sale goes through. That's a lot of money for an A! You just never know on ebay. Only takes two really motivated parties.

I agree with these 2. The market is really bad for selling hot rods right now. You have people buying cars less than 10k because the economy sucks and guys buying cars over 50k becuase they still have money. Anything in between is usually a tough sell right now. You could price it at 15 and sell it really quick and be bummed out or price it at 25-30 and never even get a bite. Then there is the other scenario in which you get lucky and the right guy sees it at the right time and you get what you want. You really have to test the waters. I would put a 26,500 price on it and go from there.

nice classified ad, phone number and everything. good job getting it on here with a question instead of in the classifieds

  29. Probably worth more than I got and then I would have to take it apart and redo it. I could seel some of the parts in the "classifieds" it recoupe some of what I had to put into it to make it suite my tastes.

I have seen some pretty high price tags on this thread. Pretty close to fair if you find someone that wants one just like it. I suppose that is the key. Finding someone who has the same taste as you do. Well that and putting an ad in a location where it is going to find someone looking for a car to buy.

Nice ride by the way, maybe you should drive it.
