I usedto run original stainless "Western" mirrors... until a tree branch took one out.

Now I'm using chrome JC Whitney truck mirrors. They look good... for 48 hours, then they completely rust over. The adjustment nuts are virtually useless. So... I'm looking for some mirrors, too! All the truck one seem too small. I need as much visibility as I can get in a panel van.

I'm using the 'way too ugly' stock mirrors and arms (which are getting hard to find), mainly because we sometimes tow a little travel trailer.

I can't see you drilling holes in the doors on VanGo, so in my opinion you should go with the small 4" round clamp on mirrors. When you get there, just pop 'em back off!

Hope to see you and VanGo at the Lone Star Round-up next month!

I used roadster style from Speedway. They still look great after three years.

I thought about using those or some 50s Ford truck mirrors from Macs, but I fear that the mirrors are too small for me to see well in a panel van. My entire right side is a blind spot

48-56, like these... but the head is small for good visibility in a van

I used a 4" convex mirror on the right side. Made a world of difference.

Congrats to The Vandoleros!! You guys are doing it so right. Look foward to scoring that issue.

Just installed pop outs on my rear doors. What an improvement, fuckin A. Lets all cab heat out real nice. I've been rolling this as my daily work horse for a little while. Gotta love spring time in Florida! Sweet.

Some other pics I've taken while watching paint dry. My bucket isn't as badass as Church's van, but I dig it for now.

Dallas, that looks great! I love the dash. Did you add some sort of skirt to it?

As for the pop-outs, where did you find the rubber? I heard the seals were no longer available.

Hey Hellfish, thanks man. The dash skirt is out of a Falcon Van. Paid way to much for it off of Ebay. That's an original piece too, I painted it though. I think it really "ties the room together". Makes a hudge difference in overall apperence. I was lucky enough to score those pop-outs with decent rubbers on them. What you say must be true, because I cant find the rubbers ANYWHERE. My van "The Hot Box" is coming along nicely. Im running a 302/AOD/9inch. It's just a cruiser. Your van rules too bro!

Not sure what Dallas paid? There's a guy and his son repopping those here in Michigan. He sells them for $175.00. I'm waiting on two. Let me know if anyone is interested I'll forward his number to you.

Or the "dash skirt"? $175. for that piece would be a good price. Shipping would sting a little though....

It's according to how much work you are willing to do. You can go with a 200 pretty much as a bolt in. To change from a small six (144/170) to a big six (240), you just about need a 240 parts van. Hellfish did a thread on a V8 install that explains the changes needed for a big six too: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=554070
