    You guys are good!
When done in 69 it had datsun 280 Z's Headlights up on top of fenders! Kid drove down van nuys Blvd & got a fix it ticket that headlights too high on fenders! Took back to brunos in I think 73 & those are caddy headlights that were put on!

Earlier in this thread, there was reference to the "hacked up" wheelwells on Mazmanians 61. I see Muttley in the the Drag Racing thread posted this picture of Dick Taylor's 57 Vette going up against Rich Siroonian in Mazmanian's 61(62 Winternats). Note the wheelwells are still stock. Sometime between this event and early 63 the wheelwells were given the new look. Siroonian won this race although at the 63 Winternats the result was the opposite I believe.-Jim

Here's one that made an impression on my young brain. The flames look kind of hokey now but I really dug it back in the day. From "Hot Rods to Hell".

I think Vettes get a bum rap now days. Everybody thinks that everybody always kept them stock. Obviously that wasn't the case. They drove the snot out of them in the day. The fastest I ever went in a car was a 64 roadster with a Traco built L88 427. That thing was FAST! That was in about 1976.

Ate a lot of fiberglass and chased the lacquer fumes away with a lot of cheap beer and cigarettes back in the early '70's. Click the pic for an album.

Yup, in that shot it had a BBC and was owned by Dave as shown above the door. Lived near me in El Monte back then around 1970.

We became partners and put my SBC with Hilborn injection and 4 speed in it and ran D/A with it.
I did the driving, a fun ride for sure. Wheels up every pass.:D

If you go back to page one/post 7, you'll see Metalshapes has posted 3 shots of it. The colored shot in between the 2 B&W shots. That's me driving. Here's a pit shot of it. Sorry it's not a very good picture. If you look closely at the other shots and this one, my name is above the doors and Jon's (my sponsor) is on the doors.

Update: Now after going through this thread, drooling at all the great vette's, I see myself and others have posted my shots already. Sorry for doing them again, but at least now you have your information. lol

Thanks you for the update on the car and its history, i saved that picture a long time ago and its one of my favorites from the era.

I recently picked up a 1960 corvette that i am starting on and trying to get some ideas for a hotrod style or race car corvette, that paint job on the car looked really good.

Do you know what happened to the car?

    Thanks,

    jp
