Thanks guys, there's a price to pay, but I'm trying. Having fun with these trucks. I think there are some believers out there now !!
I owned the brownish 57 a couple of years back. Ended up with BigT over in riverbank where he turned it into the red velvet. The black 57 Cahlupa went to the south ( EriktheChef ) and the red 60 went to 2Brothers in the midwest. Driving the white hillbilly original paint keeper ( adding full caps - hudson or olds ) and putting some upholstery in the panel !! May end up selling the panel as it is too nice for the intended use. Need a little more of a beater for delivering eggs to markets.
Straight axle from Sid - 3" drop, reverse eye spring, removed a leaf. Might have been 2 ??? Bumper in and down a bit. Rides nice, drives straight. BigT in Riverbank banged it together.
hotrod1959 just did a photo threads showing the steps to lowering his truck. Mine went through the same process. visit 57-60 Ford F100s thread by 100%Matt. Also some good ideas at www.1959f100.com

Looks great! I met Tim at the exhaust shop when I was having my '60 done...turns out we both live in Riverbank, small world! Do you know how much he tucked the bumper in (and lowered it)? Been on my to-do list for a while.
Yes I think it was 3" I don't think he lowered the bumper. Just cut the horns and re-drilled the mounting holes. I should be there next week if you are around the house PM me your number....I want to see Earl. Bob
So today I was scouting through Craigslist and saw these wheels for sale. They were Ford pickup patteren so I figured I should get em. I am not a huge fan of Cragars, but these are SUPER nice and had nice new tires, caps and lug nuts for 200.00!! So what the hell right Beats the shot tires that were on it! I got the ol girl on the road and LOVE driving it! This is what she looked like before the tire/wheel change
Wheels look real good, now you just need to drop that thing, get it sitting at a respectable height, LOL.
Here's the new 60 I picked up a couple weeks ago. Very very straight, no rust holes anywhere....Lots of work to do, but I'll get after it...!!!
Heres one of mine. This was running when we parked it 35 years ago. I also have a 57 Stepside that is in worse shape.
