The Brooklands track was notoriously bumpy. Many racing cars had to have their bodies stengthened especially when endurance racing. This made racing at Brooklands both exciting and very dangerous with cars being very difficult to control. Many deaths occured when the cars lost control and were flung over the top of the banking.

The first photo looks vintage, and I think it is---probably...

Poodle skirts from the '50's and poodle skirt patterns.
I don't know of a poodle skirt that was not home made.
    nearly all women/girls sewed.
Notice the kid on the left in the first photo is wearing a cowboy shirt.

Poodle sweaters were popular with ladies and girls in the '50's.
This is all I could find but a lot of girls wore angora-type sweaters with poodles on them.

As soon as I saw that thumbnail I thought to myself, "That looks just like Nichelle Nicoles" when i opened it was quite surprised to see that it is her, and she is riding a folding bike that I happen to own 2 of, too cool for me to see that!

Could that track be bumpy enough for the car to bounce the front end up in the air like that?
