I found that a 46-8 chevy car box would work well, cause the pitman arm is on the inside of the frame rail, also check out the early Jeep military style... they had a cool box that had the pitman arm on the inside.

Cheap and plentiful here in the US. That is a LHD box with the column for the 3 spoke style steering wheel. The earlier ones('66 and older) for the banjo style wheel can be a bit more expensive and harder to come by, but still relatively available. The only reason to hunt down an earlier box is if you want to run the banjo wheel (see pic).

Boy thats great news for me, I have been toying with making this car RHD and love the looks of that rover box. Any idea how many turns lock to lock?

Just a little over 4 turns and will rotate the arm 80°. FWIW, the stock arm is 5-1/8" long.

Another option, older built LHD cars in US often used Falcon / Mustang boxes turned on their side for push / pull steering. Plenty of similar RHD early Falcon boxes here in Australia that could be mounted the same way on RH side.

any one know the ratio 18-1 or 24 - 1?

note the mounting foot is flat, unlike the oem vega, has an inch of threads too.
