Chop it about 4 inches.....put 53 caddy rear quarters and taillights on it.....And you could even use a 53 caddy rear bumper.....tunnel the headlights and put 56 buick port holes in the front fenders, Don't stop there go ahead and use a 53 buick front bumper as well......keep the skirts, add some lake pipes and spotlights, put wide whits on it and flipper hubcaps......thats what I would do anyhow.....LOL.......Oh yeah and paint it!!.....all this fake patina and primer is way over done....

I have to agree with the votes for just jumping in and driving it. After you make sure it is safe to drive and is in good ch***is and brake wise that is.

Other than that get all the panels to fit right an just drive it for a while. I can't see doing anything radical to a four door though. Maybe clean it up a bit and even throw a paint job on it but save all the modification energy for one of your other projects.

  22. Do not screw with that car! Freshen the mechanicals up, do a little detail, stripe it up and ride.

The more you mess with a car like that the more frustrated your gonna get. Ask me how I know...

all these guys telling you to just drive it.....thats fine if you want to always be driving someone elses car....When you go down to cruise night everybody will say hey look there is so and so's old car...It will never be yours....the only way it will be yours is to make it yours!...By putting your own personal touches on it and doing it the way you want it.....So it is up to you....Drive someone elses car? Or drive your own?....goodluck

    He has a valid point.

I just priced a set of 5 Wide Whites from Coker in size 7.10-15. With my Alliance discount I could have them at my doorstep for $560. I'd say go with those tires, some baby moons and beauty rings and your set.

Maybe later on down the road find a Fulton sun visor and a pair of fender skirts.

From personal experience.. It doesnt matter what you do to it they will still say "hey is that so and so's old car?" unless you find one in a barn no one has seen in 35 years... so...change the shifter knob and drive it !:D
