That wasnt meant to be offensive, so I deleted it. The part I didnt mention about being retired was I spent 40 years in the auto shop/ classroom in order to be able to retire.

    LOVE THAT MODEL A!!!
Just out of curiousity... what does one in that kind of shape go for???
(not asking what you paid... that would be rude) just curious as to what the market dictates!?!?

Hey Corndog your comment wasn't offensive at all... I was just being sarcastic that you are lucky to be at that point in your life.... I can't wait for the day I can get up and walk over to the barn and work on my hotrods instead of going to work..... and beleive me I am going to tell everybody I can about it...... you have put in our time .... congrats on retiring and getting a new project HR33

He is asking $8500. I have not bought it, just kicking the tires right now. I am going to make him an offer that is obviously less than the $8500. I will let you know if I get it!

The original deck lid holder arm has been cut off (they are available new though) and a later 39-48 style spring loaded one has been installed on the opposite(passenger) side.
That is a really nice car in the pictures. If the body and other sheet metal are solid you've got a real nice base for a full-fendered hot banger or AV8 coupe there!
The price is almost always negotiable, just don't insult the guy with your offer, i.e., don't offer half what he's asking.
