No seats yet no shakedown run and I have been busy as hell. I am doing repair work on cars and trucks out of my work shop. Just got two more jobs today. I should have done this about five years ago. I am my own boss. :)

Maybe not too HAMB friendly, but the details on this COE are pretty******in! Complete unaltered C6 Corvette chassis, engine, transaxle, etc. Bed/running boards are all hand formed aluminum. Body work is exceptional, paint needs to be cut and buffed, but this thing is REALLY cool in person!

If you're going to put the car on the back, I'd go with at least 3/4 ton full floating rear.

I agree, go over heavy rather then too light, it give you a lot more room for error.

Yep, ALWAYS overbuild it for strength and safety. And don't use any Corvette*****, LOL.

Pex, I would overbuild first! I had a friend one time that had 3/4 springs under his roll back instead of 1 ton. If you put anything heavier than a car on there your tail hole was so puckered by the time you got there you couldn't insert an inima( I think that's how you spell it)!

thanks for the input. i'm going with the 3\4 ton diff. the speedster is light but i'll be safer with the extra beef. b-pob or what ever you call yourself you can fall off your wallet and buy breakfast.

Cool! He's one of our local rodders.. Drives it just about every day. Plus he has a few more multiple wheeled vehicles he's allways bringing to the shows.

We fixed the start of a night mare for a customer five years ago. he was trying to build a four door using only four doors facing back to back. Told him to bring us two more doors and we would fix him right up. Del. it in raw steel. saw it last year on a one ton Chevy chassis. he used the late model dually bed... just didn't look right.

I'll did up my pics ...

I think I saw that 8 wheeled Jeep at the Route 66 Fun Run when it was parked on Andy Devine a few years ago. Very unique vehicle.

Was it this one that's in Lake Havasu City? .....

Wow! I love that old Mack C.O.E.! Especially
the 'aerodynamics' - or more precisely, the
complete and total lack thereof! LOL! If you
could ever find one of these beasts, it could
be the basis for one very cool 'big truck' hot
rod! Any idea of what year and which particular
model of Mack, this one is???

For your first post you managed to break quite a few of the rules on the HAMB.

Read the rules before you post anything.

Do an intro for your first post.

Don't try to sell anything in anything other than the classifieds.

When you do try to sell something in the classifieds, state your price.

Other than that, welcome to the HAMB!

Did Studebaker ever actually make any COE's like this?

This is the only one I have ever seen period.

(Image is a composite, not sure why)

This truck was pictured early on on this thread. I spent a lot of time researcing this to see if Studebaker ever made COE in this body style. Came to the conclusion that I think someone made this out of a pick up. Nicely done and it really does look OEM.
