Ahhh.... There was a '55 with a Model A axel w/transverse mounted spring out of Buffalo that was featured in the February '64 issue of R&C called the Flashy Gasser. I met the owner a couple years back and talked to him and went through his picture scrap books. He lost track of the car after he went into the service. Just trying to help him track it down.

Here was my first hot rod in 1974. Not a gasser but I was wannabe racer. 327 with 3 speed on the floor.

Here is mine "Roadrunner" from back in the day around 1968 and May 2010 when I bought it. It came out of Laurenburg N.C. and was owned by James Hickman. The car had been parked since 1973 but was painted sometime in between. I am looking for any pictures or info.

That is what I like to see...someone cutting up a perfectly good 55 Chevy frame. :D Looking good! Like the motor placement too! Enjoy the build.

Killer thread!!! Here are a couple I sold and one Im gathering parts for to build. The pic of the blue 55 is the gray one as I found it. I lited the gray car for sale but got no interest so Im building it for myself. The short story on it is it was heading for scrap when I spotted it and stopped its death. Got it CHEAP! I mean real cheap.... anyway I wheel & deal hot rods and parts but keep the stuff thats super cool or super cheap so every part thus far are "scores" and have good stories. I might do a build thread on it and keep a tally on all the parts to show if you build one of these cheap if your not afraid to wheel & deal. Please let me know if anyone would read a build thread like that. Never done a build thread yet... Rob

  24. Well I sold my '69 Camaro. Now I have money so I made an appointment with Kiwi Kev to do my axle and roll bar. I'm also building another engine with a Tunnel Ram and Dual Holleys.

The 55 is keeping an eye on the creation of it's new stable mate, 32 5W Grafitti style Coupe.
