Is the Monday night cruise-in at Jamesway Plaze up route 21 in Jersey still going on? I haven't been there since 1995. It used to draw 300-400 cars and many magazine cars. As far as I knew they were all driven. I remember a police 1965/6 Ford F150 truck with a 427 cammer and a 1939 Chevy 2 dr sedan with a computer comtrolled Ed Pink hemi. He lit the '39 up as he pulled out of the lot and headed north. I saw more cars in Jersey on the streets than anyplace I've worked. ...a great time!!!

This thread really disgusts me. The local place here in Fresnothing is lucky to get 20 (twenty) cars. I made sure I typed that out both ways so you wouldnt think it was a mistake. Fresno sucks.

you thinking of Pompton plains on rt 23? The last couple of years that it ran had over 1000 cars and tons of spectators. It was great. The burnout guys leaving is what ended it.

  9. Anything big in the Charlotte N.C area?

  10. The tag alongs probably have some young child that will become interested in cars and become a hamber. "Big Daddy Ed Roth" said, "if it is in primer, it still has potential".

Some people can not afford really nice cars when raising a family. There are a lot of opinions about what is really a nice car.

You never know what will influence a young child.

Down town Anoka Minnesota during the Summer draws about 500 to 800 cars every Saturday night 75 and older. The cruise has been going on for at least 10 years now.
It use to be bigger when they had the lots down by the river. I miss those days.

I live in Central Illinois and we have nothing like this (cruises) in our area. What is the secret to running a good cruise?

Chatterbox Drive-in, Augusta, Sussex County, New Jersey, intersection of Rts 15 & 206, Friday nights 300-500 cars regularly. Lots of HAMB friendly stuff & musclecars. No Rice, No Tuners (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Marley station mall lot holds almost 600 cars and there are nights where there is no place to put them, also not counting the cars cruisin the highway and parking at the other lots in the mall

There is one in Canton Ga. that is every third Saturday of the month from March-October. The first one I went to was last October, we got there around 4 and left around 6. They were still coming in at 500+!

Somernites Cruise in Somerset,Ky is awesome! They had 1400 cars for the last one in October. I'm glad we went back and convinced my Dad to go with us. The weather was just perfect, and I knew it had the potential to be awesome. We went in '09 also for my 40th b-day. I highly recommend it!

  27. It is amazing reading the numbers posted here.

The amount we car people contribute to our local economy, by packing in 300-1,000+ cars, on one single night is awesome!

It is cool hearing for you guys all over the country.

Mineral beech in Finleyville ,Pa gets 300 to 500 every fri nite may thru sept. barbeque and tiki bar BUT lot of people going real early and putting out the lawn chairs--Hell one group has someone put about 10 of them orange cones that they probably stole from a construction site.

Little hussie named Katrina slowed her down a few years back but the cruise is coming back stronger than ever. I only wish there was more traditional rods, but plenty of kustoms. Last year nearly 5,000 cars officially registered but there's more that don't..Nostalgic drags, flame throw'n, luau's, sock-hops....BEST PART NO TRAILER QUEENS!!!! 30+ miles of white sand beaches, fresh blacktop on hwy 90 cruisin the whole stretch. Every town has a cruise-stop, bands, you can hardly see everything. Come on down
