Got a ride in that car a few years ago, I also saw the 11 second slip from the drag strip. Not too shabby for a street car! The car was also featured on the Fairlane episode of Musclecars TV.
Very Nice example of a 56'! The 56' is my car of choice from the 50's. I have wanted one for years done in the Peacock Blue color!
Dude, that is flat out perfect! I think this may well be the best looking 55/56 I have ever seen.Post up some interior and engine pics.
Thanks! Here's the interior, which is mostly '64 T-Bird with a '63 Galaxie console: ...and the engine, a warmed-up 351W with an electronic AOD. Not a show motor, this:
My 66 Fairlane. Bought in 1988 as a basket case, converted to RHD using Ozzie parts in restoration. Sold in 1999 to a fellow who only stores it in his shed and hardly ever drives it. Like everyone, wish I still had it but I know where it is.
My 63 in 1979, first car. Originally 221-3 on the tree, dad and I put in a 289 with 69 351 heads, etc. Sold it to someone in the Quad Cities around 1990, would like to find it if it is still around.
Thanks guys. We've had this car since I was about a year old, so I've always had a special place in my heart for the '65s. Never have seen many at shows.
my Fairlane and I back in the late 1980s. the Fairlane and I a few years back. how the Fairlane looks today.....work, life, divorce, girlfriends, fiance, etc but I'm working on it.
