Please post more pics, especially the boats. I think there are a number of us that appreciate the traditional side of the boats also.
That crackerbox model is great, moter looks like GMP Ford cammer model and the driver ,p***enger are G.I. Joe's.. Liked the "boat"sidecar on the motercycle as well.
What I'm wondering is if it's a sidecar, or an actual small boat on a sidecar trailer. That would be really cool.
Hey Boones, if you ever are in upstate NY, near Watertown area ,check out the town of Clayton for wooden boats. look thru this site... www.glenphotos.com/boat/boatindex.html ....... Inprimer
I know this thread is kind of old but I just saw it for the first time. This stunning Lake Arrowhead event is coming up in the beginning of June.It is a great show if you have never been to it,also some real nice woodys parked along the edge of the lake but the boats are the stars of the show.I cant wait for this one, anyone go to this show these days?
Haven't been to one in prob 10 years now... how's the lake level doin now? Our family bailed when the beetles were in the trees and water level started to drop.... good times cruisin the boat over to woodys restaurant in town
By some wierd coincidence, this was last weekend in Florida. Gary http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6380599#post6380599
Was this the overflow for all the Woodys? Last year when I was there all of the woodys were parked around the edge of the lake, right up against the water.
No early in the morning staging, I was showing Antique outboards and you have to set up about 5 to 5:30 am.
I used to go every year when I lived up in Crestline.Since I moved down here 5 years ago I've only been once.Maybe I'll go this year. Here's a pic of my boat,it was shown at Lake Arrowhead several years ago.
Oh wow Greg!!! Thats a bad*** boat! Foresure you should come up to the show this year, its going to be a blast.I wonder if its too late to enter your boat in the show? I cant wait till this is here, been waiting since last June.Lunch at Woodys and a couple of coldones on the Chris-Craft bar is my idea of a goodtime.
Here is the Info and a link Lake Arrowhead Boat Show June 3rd thru June 5th, 2011 Contact: Dave Anderson 760-245-3363 http://www.socalacbs.com/
WOW! CButcher.... thanks for that link,I didnt know about that site and I dont know how to post a link anyway, thank you. So it says there is a show in Newport? I ***ume Newport Beach? Balboa maybe ? I might just be wishful thinking but does anyone know about this? How is the BigBear show compared to the Arrowhead show?
Kurt, You sly devil !You didn't say anything about going to a boat show at Arrowhead. Would love to seesome pix of wood boats ! Dave
Hope to see you up there. Not sure if I'm bringing the boat or not.I have to do afew things to it.It's been sitting for awhile.Lake Arrowhead I think is better for the spectators.Big Bear is better for the boaters.
