I had been looking around for a differant wheel/tire combo for my roadster. I love this setup but I wanted to change the look of the car a bit.

So i was talking to Scotty Baccus about this and he suggested I get ahold of Cody at http://www.hurstracingtires.com/ We spoke thru a few emails and then phone to come up with a tire combo. I went with the Super cushion 26.5x 4.5 x 15 for the front with the Double Pinner stripes on Early wheel company Smoothie 15x4 1/2`s and the rear are 28 3/4"x8 1/2"x15" PIE CRUST with the F-1 Grooving :D and Triple pinner stripes on 15x6 smoothies.
This was the day I mounted them

I have to say I am very pleased with the tires. They look awesome! Took approx 1 week to get them after I ordered. Cody is a great guy to deal with!

See ya at the Round Up!!

Thanks! The ride is alot differant...plus the rear are about 2 inches shorter than the Excelsiors, so it it gets up to speed a little quicker:D

Yeah, I liked it before. But a change is as good as a holiday. Don't know who said that...coz it's not.

As I scrolled down from the first picture to the second picture, I wondered what in the hell you were thinking. However, after staring at the new pictures for several minutes, when I scrolled back up to the first picture, I found myself liking the new look better than the old look. Good work. Dare to be different.

....Nothing wrong with a little change-up now and then. Keeps things fresh.:)

  12. It's amazing what a set of wheels and tires will do.

Sorry... but I prefer the first pic.

The wheels and that pinned-on grill have a much cooler Jalopy vibe to me.

    Good God!!!!

That looks awesome!!! And it changes the look of the car entirely, Double pinners add the mid sixties look to an ordinary late 50's vibe. Like post's from fellas that knew and hung around the Custom crowd out of early 1960's Cali, the double pinners first evolved from Watson blacking out the bottom pinner of a triple white wall tire. Those boy's who know there history understand what theme you are going after. And those who don't never will. And ain't that what this hobby is blessed with. Bellybutton's!!!!

    Love and LUST!!!!

I actually prefer the taller tire on the rear. But the cheaters and douple stripe are really cool.

    you think so?

I just thought it looked cool pinned to the grill... more mechanical. I love to see hardware, gadgets, and moving parts.

  21. Ya could have added mags and IFS to complete the look! I like the earlier version myself...

I like both versions equally, after all having more than one set of wheels and tires, allows you to change the look anytime. For example check out Jeff Norwell's truck, talk about Hot Rod ADD!:D
