  21. Thanks again Muttley. MEGA post session. I'm gonna go thru 'em proper, cool.

54_coupe_ute; Thanks for memory jolt- ( I'd like to build another skid- kid 27" ! I always had the coolest bike at school:))

There were always some badass big block HQ's at AIR. What color was Dom Marafioti's car? Was it steely blue? A few wild small block HQ's there too.

Romano's redo looks super. That's gonna be so cool to see.

newport; Thanks also for nostalgia trip- remember Mark Skehan's SS/B (great class) Kawa?

  22. Dom's was silver with orange paint outs .

Garry Porter had a blue 4 door big block

    Kym Hunt had a 2 door 396

    and a word from Romano

Hi i have been in touch with Gary Shipp he has the copy of the munster in Perth he wants to bring it to Whyalla mid year.

i know the turtle is in Port Augusta being restored

the original Shes Ace had a 202 yella terra head aussie four speed. ten bolt diff ...this is whats in Shes Ace now

the original wheels were made by Burnie Fitzner in the early 70s ..the wheels on Shes Ace now are polished auto drag center lines with black stick on decals

i was lucky that both the original builders are still with us .as they supplied many photos and input of the build

    regards Romano

  23. First;thanks Muttley for another fine batch of pics! This one had me a bit puzzled(more than usual);I think Connie and the Ford guys couldn't make the Boss 429 mill stay together, and went back to the Cammers. I don't recall anyone having great success with the 429's in Fuel classes. Anyone have more info? This is the first pic I've seen of this car.

  25. That's wild fellas, glad to hear the Turtle's being restored. I saw it race ,OMG, late 80's-early 90's????. Just that one time, at AIR. It was a bright absinthe/canary/corvette-ish kinda yellow & looked a treat.
