That is very true, last year I saw a wreck happen right in front of me, a girl pulled out if front of another car and got t boned at 55 mph and died me and one other car pulled over to try to help. Leaving work today I saw a car parked on the side of a road (a back street in a industrial area) that was smashed up pretty bad, no other car around with damage so I assume that it was a hit and run. People just don't seem to care as much any more.

I had a car on the flight deck of the USS Saratoga when we left Virginia for Florida back in 74.. Relocation for your vehicle and anything you could stuff in it, all compliments of Uncle Sam. Had to put 2 coats of wax on the car though.

There are a ton of photos of the Bonnie and Clyde death car, I was going to do a big post, but I wasn't sure if that would be acceptable... so these are related and not normally seen.

I have often thought the same thing. Maybe it was because we didn't have 11 TV channels and a commodore 64 to keep us busy?

  9. Most of the time people that stop just stand there and gawk.
I'm an ex-EMT, if I think I can help I will stop. Otherwise I get out of the way.

I was the coolest kid back in the day, I had an Atari 2600, then in 89 we got the Nintendo... those Mario graphics were sooo good!

I love this shot, my paternal grandpa was a salesman for Fuller and International! (I have so much Fuller stuff)

I wish kids today could experience the bread truck rounding the corner at the end of the lake, life without running water, wood as your only source of heat/energy, a 7 cent coke right out of the cooler, steam train whistles, old white street lights, sledding in the hood of an old Ford truck, the warmth and crackle of an old tube radio, 2 TV channels and one of them is snow, gas that was hand pumped into your car, the 45 mph speed limit, a coal stove in the school house, life with two lane highways, a pennies worth of candy, dad's new car with suicide doors, the family bringing out the musical instruments on Saturday night, sticking knives in the wringer/washer and even the fuller brush man.
