Nope! you saw me riding around on another friends mini, seconds before getting my hand slapped by the swap's organization!!! Seems like when ever there is a runing mini around, I'm on it or asked to "see how it's running". I have been accused of being the local mini bike "Pied Piper", 'cause soon after hanging around here for a bit, everyone ends up with one!! And hell yes, you need one too. Then you can do the Thursday night mini bike nights around here, provided we can get enough guys together of course...
ahhh ok, thats what all the commotion was about!! Sounds like a plan, I'm headed out to Portland swap meet next weekend, hoping to pick one up out there. Just missed one for $60 on craigslist......
So are we on for tomorrow then? And on the subject of cheap parts, I picked up five engines the other day for about $30... Three of them even ran after an oil change and a wipe down.
WOW...you're comin' all the way from AZ to the P'town swap???.....Far-out man!!! There are usually lotsa mini's for sale up there.
Meeting some friends up there that go regularly from the Seattle Area and Hawaii. First time going!!!
The brand name is Rogue The only one I know of has a wierd front suspension. Either yours has the wrong forks or it's a model I've never seen literature on. Very rare to find one.
Dude your awesome! Thanks for the info. If this really is the Mark IV model its too bad the original forks are gone. It probably ended up hitting a wall at some time in its life. Maybe I'll build my own. Do you know what year was that article published?
Just came in from a quick run around the neighborhood on the gold mini... What a great way to clear my head after a long day building hot rods (tough life, I know). Mini bike night went on hold again this week for lack of participation, ('cept Nick Flores... he always seems ready to ride!) so we'll give it a shot next week! THURSDAY evenings, downtown Phoenix, let's make the slightly northwest passage to the George and Dragon about two miles away and have a beer!
thats a trail tamer style front end Kent at san pedro minibikes makes them his email is WCSD375@yahoo.com That article is from december 1970 holiday edition of mini bike guide magazine
do any of yall know what brand minibike i have. i've never seen another frame like it anywhere. thanks
Okay, mine's not exactly 'vintage', but it still looks cool! Before: During: And now... I've also got 2 doodlebugs in the garage (wife and son)
Not sure if you guys are aware, but Coker Tire just debuted some new mini bike tires. They have a 14x6 tire that would be awesome for mini bikes, and new 3.00-10 and a 3.00-12 motocross-style tires for small dirt bikes. Here's a link to the 14x6. http://store.cokertire.com/coker-classic-trials-14-6.html
Ok, i've got a bit of a problem and now have a couple questions. I wrote down the model number on a piece of cardboard that apparently went through the wash last night so now i can't call my local parts store to figure out the cap levels. I thought most of you might know. 1) Anyone know what the oil capcity this engine would have? 3.5 b/s. 2) What kind of chain tension should i be looking for? 3) Does anyone have a close up shot of the throttle linkage? I can't really find anything online that gives me a good enough idea of what is missing or what needs to be fabbed to make it work. Thanks a ton in advance!
D@#$ all you guys!!! Having had one as a wee lad,I want another one! Some truly beautiful machines in this thread. You're all bad influences, every stinkin' one of ya!
lowpunk oil level is filled to lower edge of threads in the fill hole chain..not banjo string tight...just about a 1/4' will do Comet kart Sales in Indiana will have the linkage conversion kit you need...just tell them you need a throttle conversion kit for a briggs and you will be good to go!

Lowpunk thats about the same color as mine( wally world spray bombed), I was thinking to do white striping cause i want the seat white with flakes.
