Update from the East Side Speed Shop . . .

Titus and thirtytwo busted ass and made big progress on Wednesday.

Body is off the frame. Chassis was fully disassembled after a bunch of welding and grinding and frame is off to the blaster before boxing. Firewall was finished and all unnecessary holes filled. Cowl top and windsield filler piece were welded in as well. Etc. Etc. Etc. Body will go to the blaster early next week when the frame is done.

I also ordered some bends for the downpipes off the lake headers and for the kickstand lake pipes that'll exit at the rear of the padded running boards. Got new water pumps and a new Mallory distributor for the flatty on the way as well.

  8. I got your care package! Thanks, you need not do that but since I like WIZARDS products I'll let it slide! ;)

Another successful Tuesday With Titus this week. While I cleaned a 1/4 inch of sludge off of the flatty, Jeff got to work on finishing the rear crossmember bracing and spring mount for the spring-behind set-up.

Up next will be boxing the rear section of the frame, mocking everything up again and running brake lines, fuel lines, etc.

Another quick update from Titusville . . .

Framerails from the tranny crossmember rearward are boxed and a couple heavily pitted sections cut out and patched. I'm heading to the East Side Speed Shop for Tuesday's With Titus in a couple hours. More clean-up on the drivetrain to ensue.

Pitman arm and drag link are done. Front end is mocked up for the final time before paint. Driveshaft to be built, rearend to be mocked up, motor and tranny to be put in and brake lines, fuel lines and battery cables are to be run this week before the body goes back on again. Chassis should be ready for paint VERY soon. Bodywork to start now!
