Note for the owner of the red pickup on the trailer. If you "X" your rear tie down straps, not only do they hold the vehicle to the trailer but they also keep it fom shifting side to side in the trailer in case of an unforseen event. I would recommend adoption of that process.

Doesn't he get a pass because he's CANADIAN? Shit I trailered my T Bucket down there one year and didn't think twice. Made for a much less stressful trip being on such a tight deadline with work and all. Jeff just make sure you drive the piss out of it when you get there man!!!!

Plus I don't think he's been completely healthy as of late.... so lets give the man a break...Hell, if I go from WA I'll trailer the sombitch, too far for an old geezer to bounce in a short wheel base car...;)

Jeff was going to drive the truck to Maryland for Jalopyrama. He ended up driving one of the rolling bones's cars down from Mass.........The man is hardcore........give him a pass this once :D
I already saw a video from one of Alex's posts.......Diamond Deuce sounded great........

Today was full of fun here in Austin.

First we headed to the Travis county expo center to set up the booth. Next to reggies BBQ ( see pics below). After that we were invited to roll over to the local tv station where Steve Wertheimer was being interviewed live about the LSRU. Norwell's truck, Steve's 57 Caddy, Norm's 32 5-window and the Acme van were the backdrop for the interview.

Then we got a call that another of the contentals was broken down in a Home Depot parking lot so we went and rescued Brian and his roadster.

I am headed tongue airport to pick up my Cynthia and them back to Congres ave for the festivities.

All in a day's work for Acme......

Jeez looks like Jeff has lost about 50 lbs, nice to see the guys having fun. You would think since my sister lives in Austin I would go down and enjoy this show at least once.

With all the tents set up in the vendor booths in your and the other photos from Ryan's and BarnFindT's LSRU threads brought up a question. Is the wind a problem there or has it been pretty calm since y'all got there?

Where I live, wind is a part of our everyday lives but I would imagine Austin's much more different..

  27. that looks like a blast! I can't wait to retire and live the Hot Rod Dream like you guys are. Thanks for the pictures and have fun. Looks like I need to go to the LSR in the future

Pretty nice!..Minus the fact that all your stuff is downhill from all those porta-potties. Once they start leaking,...your merch is gonna be right in the path.
I definately have to make it there next year.

Another fine day at the Lone Star Round Up.....Doc had Norm Grabowski carve a skull shift knob and gave it away at the HAMB meet and greet. He was nice enough to let us piggy back on his give away and we gave 5 Acme Speed Shop shirts.

Here are a few shots of the meet and greet and the give away.
