How many cans do you figure it would take to do the dash on a '56 Chevy?

the clear coat in the spry can that you can also buy to top coat this is a catalized clear the flake is in a inter coat clear and the base coats are just base coats and the canddys are an inter coat clear as well!!!

    Dumb question....

    Does inter-coat mean non-catalyzed?

I'm interested. I may have to give it a test on the old truck. Might look good on one of my guitars too.

I want to spray my dash, but I was thinking I might do a practice run on a vintage style bike I have. @ Gambino What does it cost a can, and would you ship it out to me in Colorado? I haven't been able to find it in state.

Kudos to Roth Rattle Bombs...just painted up a few parts to test....Tried a couple of different "primer" colors. Then did Cherry Pie Base, Cherry Pie Flake, Cherry Pie Kandie, then clear...haven't wet sanded or polished the clear yet but the Paints sprayed well...no clogging...no sputter. The pictures do not even begin to capture the actual look of the parts.

Today I am tackling the roof of my truck...going with a semi-gloss white base as primer.<O:p</O:p

How does the catalized clear coat work? Is the catalist in the can? How long does it take to set up after being sprayed? I was under the impression as soon as you added the catalist you only had a few hours to spray.

there is a button on the bottom of the spray can for the clear once you press the button it catalizis it self so i would think that can of clear would only be good for that spray sesion i guess evenualy it would harden inside of the can

it sets up just like any urathane clear you would spray out of a gun

that is corregt i would think you would only have a few hours to mspray same as in a spray guy theres a sertain pot life

Thanks I think that's what I need. The Krylon clear doesn't seem to be hardening. I'll be in touch.

I was expecting more from the hype and the name.
Might have just been my expectations.
Turned out good because we do good work ;-)

I painted on of my guitars with a brass basecoat, gold spray glitter from the craft store and had it all cleared in the spraybooth at work. All told, I have about $30 in it. Pics later when I get home. It rocks.

Does good work include not masking off or removing snaps and rivet heads before painting ?
