Autozone, pepboys, Rielly's Funny huh. I get all my parts from autozone at about 1/3 what the "specialty" shops charge. Brake pads, wheel bearings, wheel cylinders all at less than 1/2.

The riv is eating me out of house and home. Parts are a bear. The little stuff kills me.

We should trade the pontiac fer da riv.

  7. I'm sure it has a wide interchange, what's Rock Auto want for one? If they list it they should have a cross-reference showing all the other cars it fits.

Is removing it an easy chore? You can have mine for a low price. as long as it is not going to be a multiple hour job! the reason i left it in there was because it looked like a bitch!

Well it shows up when I search it at autozone (but to be honest, I checked 64 not 65).
But here's Rancho Riviera, (AKA Mr Riviera) Larry. he could help you out I'm sure.

Last but not least, is Craigslist Inland empire, guy's selling Rivi parts from a parts car.

We need the dual speed motor, not the single speed, which seems to be harder to find. I have ordered several from more than one parts supplier, and always get the wrong one delivered. I even tried taking it to two auto electric / motor rebuilders here locally, and they all politely declined to rebuild it.

As far as removing it goes, yes it is kind of a bitch to get to. It involves removing the hood and drivers side hood hinge. So on a nice black car, its not something that I want to be doing on a weekly basis.

I will contact Larry and see what he has. Thanks for the heads up guys.

I just checked my Hollander book and it says that 63-64 Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Cady 2 speed wipers will all work

Had the same problem with mine for years, 63-64 are different than 65 and it is year specific. I bought a parts car and got lucky and it had a good one in it. If you monitor ebay from time to time you can snag one I bought a few junk ones and then got the parts car. Rancho riviera would be your best bet. Theres a fellow outside of Dallas who has a pasture full of first gen Rivi's but I couldn't find his old website????
