I think what you are perceiving as quad lights is just motion of cars with dual lights. I don't see a car newer that '55 in those photos. If it were '58 or later, there would be lots of '57 and '58 cars visible in the pictures. Late '54 early '55 is a better guess on the date.

Technically the last Singer was the Hunter which was basically the same car as the SM1500, but tarted up - walnut dash, leather seats, foglamps, screenwash etc. It only sold 4772 and unfortunately a proposed twin cam version was never made.
Rootes took over in '55 with their first model being the Singer Gazelle.

Man that last picure has got to be Bondi Beach here in Sydney Australia.
I`m probably wrong but I must have seen a million photos with those houses in the background.

Cool ads, I always like the VW ads that were poking fun at the car like that!

The house my great grandfather built on the Blvd in Carrick, PA. The house is still standing although it has been converted to a multi family home.

ref 24576 The theater is showing a sign for air conditioning, I agree it couldn't be later as they stopped doing that as everyone had it.

I think you are right.I lived up there on the hill in the early 70's.
Brighton Boulevarde and the bus terminus was at the bottom of the street.
