when i bought my car the 53-56 spindles were already attached to the 28 model a axle.

i am replacing the kingpins, but the new 53-56 kingpins dont fit the axle, i know there has to be something that fits because it was already hooked up..

i have an extra 53-56 axle with spindles so thats how i know that they are 53-56 spindles im putting on my model a axle, unless im missing something.

do u have any idea what would work or are the earlier f100 spindles identical to the 53-56 and i need a earlier year kingpin????

    thanks

ok,ill send these ones back and try the 48-52 kingpins,,,,are the 48-52 spindles that similar to the 53-56????

if they are the only difference has to be the kingpin hole,,,cause these dudes look just like my other 53-56 spindles

Take some pictures of BOTH spindles from the inside and from the rear and post them up.

If you have them off already, take the kingpin you removed to a machine shop and have it measured with a micrometer to tell you the exact size and thus the required kingpin setup.
For Fords there were only a handful of different kingpins and thats mostly for length.

measure the kingpins - a model pins are bigger in diameter than 42-48

    How do they not fit?
Too thick, too thin, too short, too long?
