Mine does the same thing, even lowered with 2" blocks. I added coil-overs, but it still sways like a drunken preacher at 60+mph highway speeds, or when I take a railroad crossing...;)

I think you guys are going the wrong direction. These cars tend to be a bit stiff on the rear springing in my opinion. When I did my '62 about twenty years ago, I had my springs dearched a bit, and pulled a COUPLE of leaves out. Made a big difference in handling and ride qualities. Also have to be real careful with shocks on these as well. Too stiff is not going to be good. You gotta remember thay these are some seriously lightweight cars.

Just another quick note, and not to sound like an ass, but there are two reoccurent Falcon threads on the board. This one, which I always figured was to show off finished or driver cars, and "Doing Falcons right" which I always thought was more geared to technical issues with these cars. maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be nice to kinda keep them separate for the sake of reference and both cruising along?

How can too many Falcon threads on the HAMB be a bad thing? :):p

    It can't! but...
If there's more than one, then they must serve different purposes...
BTW, was at Fab Fords this weekend, and hardly any roundbodies were representing! Falcon section overall was understated :-(

That's slick. Much nicer than the typical square-edged tubs you used to see in pro streeters.

  15. Thanks man, I was going for a stealth look. the 235s that were on it originally rubbed on the spring and outer wheel lip, but now there is room for 295/50/15s.

bad ass dude! 61 to 63 used to be my fave Falcons, butlately i have a thing for 64 65s.
The stance and mags on your are rad, but i would ditch the blackwalls, redlines would be perfect for your racer look, and give it some style while at it. gotta have one someday.

Redlines would look good on there. You don't see enough redlines on hot rods.

I'm afraid most of what you're posting is a bit modern for the HAMB; a "done right" drag Falcon is a gasser rather than a pro stocker.

I'd like to have a gassed out falcon, just don't have a motor for that.
