Note how the bricks give this T the perfect stance--a trick used years later by many a low-buck custom enthusiast.

  8. When we took a family trip in 1953, on the way back, we stayed at a Wigwam Motel in the Phoenix area. We started out going west on Highway 6, then 40 mostly to Salt Lake City, right through the Bonneville Salt Flats, then south through Nevada with my mother zipping right along at close to 100 miles per hour in our nearly new 52 Buick, stopped for the night in Vegas, but when my father tried to take me into a casino, they said "no children allowed". Vegas was the first place we ever saw a drive through restaurant. We went west again to San Diego to visit my uncle, then came back mostly by Route 66, stopping off to see the Grand Canyon. Oklahoma was full of oil wells, even had them directly across from the state capitol building. I need to find a way to post all the 35 mm slides that my father took of the trip. Was a really impressive 4000 miles.

I haven't the slightest clue what this is from, my bet is a movie, someone just sent it to me a minute ago.

Sorry for the huge photo at the bottom, it was needed for the detail.
