Yea, it kinda makes a statement, doesnt it?

That would really be great. I ran across that pic about ten years ago, been gazing at it with lust ever since.

Early spring, 1969. Me in 11th grade, in my first car. These, and Astro Supremes, remain my all time favorite wheels; factory-center chromies seem to be very scarce these days.

My thanks to whoever started this thread, and for all the outstanding photos!

These are genuine chrome reverse wheels, old ones done years ago, the trires go on from behind.
I just painted the centers with vintage Seymour spray bomb metalflake but unfortunately the nozzle kept gumming up so I couldn't get the coats I wanted, looks Ok enough though.

Geez where the hell have I been, I missed all these new posts on this thread.
I don't know what to tell you, other than these wheels started out as 13inch 4 lug GM wheels, that were reversed and chromed. Has to be original Chevy II / Nova or Corvair. I just polished them and was drooling over them in the garage the other night. Gonna have to find a car for them to go on.

    Pretty pretty!

If they don't look like this, they aren't "reversed" in the traditional way.
Deep set or widened, maybe, but not reversed.
The "new" wheels made with the safety bead to hold tubeless tires on when you curb them just can't look right because they don't have that "cone" part of the rim that makes it.

That is one TALL Nova. Gabriel Hi-jackers and extended shackles? LOL

The big is blurry, but it looks like a skinny whitewall on the back? Do you know what year the pic was taken?

    Thanks!

Just picked up a pair of these today. According to the guy, they have been in his garage for over 30 years. The bias-ply raised whites aren't exactly the right style, so I will be making some fakie wide whites for them. The tires are in such perfect shape I'll have to find a hardcore muscle car guy that will appreciate them.

I have some bullet lugs to run with them and am looking for push-through caps that will work for the 2 3/4" hole. My real dilemma is that I am running some stock steel wheels that are painted black on the front. Any pics of just chrome reverse on the front or rear with painted steels on the other end?

    Thanks
