For those that didn't know him, Terry Cowan was one of the founders of the Metalworkers group and someone who always had time to teach you something. I wasn't a personal friend but had met Terry several times and he always took the time to show me how to do something and other than trying to get you to help with his booth he never asked for anything back. Unfortunately I lost touched with Terry so several years ago when my son called me to see if I would help him load a pick-up he had bought I was shocked to find out from his wife who had sold the pick-up to my son that Terry had p***ed away and she was selling his things. The pick-up was either his father's or his grandfather's (I'm getting too old to remember all the details) and he had wanted to fix it up but unfortunately never got to it. I wish I could have bought some of his other projects including some really great tools but I had enough projects of my own so I didn't.
The pick-up has sat in our plant and my son has it on a list of projects he is going to get to but the other day my 13 year old granddaughter walked in and announced the pick-up was hers and she wanted to have it running by the time she is 16! My son of course offered that I didn't have anything to do so I should help her! I have no idea if this will ever get done but I thought what a neat way to remember one of the really good guys if it ever does get done.

It looks like a good solid truck.Good to hear your granddaughter is interested in the old truck instead of a new car.I always wanted to see the sheet metal apple Terry started finished. He seemed like an interesting person.

The truck is in really good shape, will be interesting to see what my granddaughter wants to do. I'm thinking "Hemi", I'm sure my son is thinking "lawn mower engine!).

I definitely will. I doubt that anything will happen until summer, my granddaughter has some health issues that keep her from starting anything now.
